SC gives interim bail of three months to the petitioner in four cases registered in Chattisgarh.

Supreme Court of India

JUSTICE ASHOK BHUSHAN & JUSTICE S. RAVINDRA BHAT

The SC on April 08, 2020 {SHASHANK BALASAHEB BHAPKAR v. THE STATE OF CHHATTISGARH} directed that the petitioner shall be released on interim bail for a period of three months on a personal bond and two sureties of the amount of Rs.1,00,000/- each to the satisfaction of the Trial Court, if not required in any other case.

In the present case, the order impugned before the SC was one rejecting the petitioner bail application(s) in four cases registered in Chhattisgarh. It was held by the SC that this interim bail is with regard to those four cases in which the bail application was rejected by the High Court.
