In the case titled as "Nisha Singla Versus Adarsh Colony Cooperative house building Society Limited and others", the Supreme Court was considering the dispute pertaining to the cooperative society, which was being fought from last four decade, regarding the non allotment of the plot to the appellant.

The Supreme Court of India had directed the registrar cooperative society to allot the plot to the appellant if her name was there in the plot allotment list.

It was further held that if the plot is not available, then, the Registrar was directed to redress grievance of the appellant after giving hearing to the affected persons. The appeal was accordingly disposed of.
